A very special couple of mine that is doomed to be rejected by everyone.
The woman is a human sorceress, Tawni, a girl that was abandoned at birth and then raised by a skilled sorceress. Well, the old sorceress had tried to raise her, but she died when Tawni was seven years old. Tawni was left with practically nothing but her talent, some clothes and her bird of prey called Tanne, a bird with consciousness connected with hers ever since she can remember. Tawni decided to travel through the country and study while stopping by various magicians and healers.

The bird guy is known as Rahan, a guardian of a demonic forest, located in a territory owned by his race - the Auila. He met Tawni when she was ten and immediately took liking to the kid, becoming her closest friend and guardian.

They grew even closer later on and somehow, without noticing it, they fell in love. Love that has no future and no hope, love that has to stay platonic forever. _{Since his race is closer to birds as for way of reproducing or physically expressing love.} They will never be able to embrace each other, not even share a kiss. And yet, she always returns to him and always finds him patiently waiting for her. They're told that they threw their futures away for such feelings that can disappear at any time and will leave them empty-handed.
Despite all that, they are happy together and they intend to stay together until one of them dies.
